Anagram Records TrophyThe 61 FC have been reinstated in the competition after it was noticed that Hanworth Villa (who beat them last Saturday) are actually a step 5 club. The competition is only open to step 6 & 7 clubs.

No it isn't. The competition is open to all clubs (in the old Isthmian pyramid) that are unable to enter the FA Vase. Enfield Town won it as a Step 5 club, AFC Wimbledon (until I kicked them out), Basildon United and (only last season) Takeley have all competed as Step 5 clubs in recent years.

That's the reason I've been given.
Maybe they changed the rules for this season?

Not that I'm aware of. I'll check with my successor as Competition Secretary.

Turns out the Rules were changed for this season to prohibit Step 5 clubs from entering (waiting to find out the reason why at present).
Hanworth were accidentally allowed to enter as the Competition Secretary missed the CCL's AGM and hadn't realised they had been promoted last season!
